Since people are still coming to this site to find out what is going on in South Mississippi from a personal angle, I will continue to report what I see.
Glad to see you're back. Break when you need to. Blog when you want to.
I sincerely appreciate you, Josh and the work you do.
I heard today that there are no plans to rebuild one of the elementary schools in Pass Christian. My sis-in-law has 3 of her 20 students registered to return to her 2nd grade class. Looks like some teachers may have thier contracts reviewed... Heard anything about this?
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to both of you for your efforts on this blog.
I am a loyal reader from Canada (southern Ontario). Please keep up the good work as long as you feel you can. Your pictures and stories are both heartwrenching and riveting. I simply wanted to say that there are a lot of us out there who support you both.
shows very detailed images of the devastation along the coast in Biloxi, there are other areas shown in the same detail too. It's all unimaginably awful.
I'd be interested to know what is being done, on the ground, to clear the President Casino off of the Holiday Inn Express.
and I'd like to know if both facilities had been fully evacuated before the storm.
I'd also like to know if the Southwind Appartments, Irish Hill Dr were evacuated.
Contacting the owners of all these facilities is fruitless. It's like the corporate controllers of President Casinos and Holiday Inn etc haven't heard the news.
Anyway, I wish everyone down that way strength. And thanks for this blog! As someone who has first hand experience of the effects of terrorism: getting it all off your chest and out in the open helps to heal the inner wounds. So blogging can be draining but worth the effort in the long run.
I want to say thanks for keeping the blog! I read it every day. I'm from Long Beach and while I live in another state, my parents and family are still there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and keeping all of us feeling like we aren't so far away from the place we call home.

If I may be so bold??....
OK guys, calm down!
I'm sure most of us can't imagine the strain you're under, just as I'm sure that all of us wish that we could do more to be of help.
So please, please, deep breath, step back, and stay the best of friends while keeping up the good work.
And thank you, once again.
