Enough. As much as I hate to waste my energy on this, I have to say something. If there is a person going through this blog almost daily posting those Viagra ads on nearly every entry, please show some respect and stop.
And to readers, if you have any idea how to block individuals or specific commenters from commenting on the blog, please let us know how. It is not just annoying, it's a slap in the face to what we're trying to do here. You'll notice the lack of ads otherwise.
Thank you.

Just turn on word verification through blogger. It's quick and easy.
we have word verification turned on, unfortunately. This is why I think it is an individual taking the time to go through our blog and post those ads. I'm going to go ahead and assume that his individual is also being paid to do this.
Unfortunately Blogger doesn't have an option to disallow anonymous comments but allow comments by folks leaving their info.
Maybe sending the Viagra stuff in would result in some kind of action on Blogger's part.
And barring that, I'd just ignore them like the rest of us will. We know you're not posting Viagra ads.
do you know how to send stuff to blogger or contact them?
I know it's a google thing. Who could I get to listen?
I'm not worried that our readers think we're posting them. I'm just sick of deleting them.
I can delete comments I don't want on my blog. Doesn't everyone else have garbage cans under each comment? I also have word verification on.
Josh, love your photo's btw!
There's a contact blogger and blogger support links in the help section.
Hi!
I just found your blog today and read it ALL! "Mom, aren't you done yet?!"
We had a total-loss house fire ten years ago, and I can at least begin to comprehend how long the recovery process drags on after the headlines ore over.
Your site is bookmarked and I'll be checking back faithfully.
Hang in there!
I use Haloscan http://www.haloscan.com/
to track my comments. If you go to their web site it walks you through how to install it on your blog. Then turn off the blogger comments (it may automatically do this when you paste the code into your blog template) and you will not get anymore spam.
Good luck
Josh aand Mike i would talk to the people who run this blog it's sad that there are people like that who take advantage of other's .
ok i think i found a way in main part of blog on right hand side there are 3 buttons get your own blog flag and next blog if you put your mouse on the flag one it says report any objectionable behaviour use it to see if you can stop theose viagra adds.
Please report the spammers to Blogger, they are on every blogger blog that is ranked and findable in search engines. Blogger does close blogger accounts if they are being used for spam!
Usually they're bots, but if they're gettin passed the word verification then it is a person typing them in. Which is a shame.
Here's an idea. The next one that shows up, leave it up for a day or two, so that people coming by the site can see it. Everyone here has great respect for you and what you're doin, so if you remind us it's there and to go to their site and 'flag' them, I'm sure many people would be happy to do that for you.
The more people who 'flag' a site, the more likely Blogger will be to shut it down as spam. I think this could work.
There are already programs to get past word verification by using OCR. They don't always work but when you have a bot trying to comment every time, you get many that hit. This one isn't too hard to get past. The ones for ticket master have colored stripes, dots, etc to defeat those bots.
Hi guys,
I clicked the link for the "zenegra" identity on the most recent advertising post. It didn't take me to a blog or a profile, but instead took me to a webpage. Since I couldn't flag them, I wrote this letter to the company, for what it's worth.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Sell what you like, but don't you think it's a little tacky to post your advertisements on personal weblogs, especially when those weblogs are dedicated to subjects like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina? I would personally never buy products from a company that does such a thing. Please have some humanity.
Sincerely,
Cara L. Hartley
It may not help much, but maybe if people flood this company with irate yet polite emails, something will get done.
Peace,
Cie
