Awwww...That is such a cute picture after all of the horrific pictures that you have posted of downtown places and manholes sticking what looks like 2 feet out of the ground. The duck is cute, to. ;-)
I just finished reading all of your posts after the one about you wanting to shut down your blog. And I would like to say that if you do end up shutting it down, I just want to let you know that I really truly enjoyed reading every bit (inch?) of it. As you can probably venture a guess I have to be either crazy or I just really like your blog for me to read all of the posts that I missed. (All of last weeks' posts, etc.)
I thought the story of the guy with the dentures was also very moving.
Thank you for this blog.
Hey - y'all are lifesavers. Up here in Virginia for a week I kept glued to your reports - until I packed a truck and hauled it "home" - I vote that you continue the blog as long as you feel like it - it was great to see the pics of Bay St. Louis - with people in the streets - not deserted thank you

After reading the original post, I could not stop thinking about Tommy Coleman and others like him. The story made me laugh and feel so deeply sad at the same time. I'm so glad he has his new teeth. I hope he enjoys every kernel of that corn!
As for shutting down the blog ... I say don't worry about who is and who is not reading it. Write it as long as you need to. Write it for yourself and your need as a writer to let it all out.
It's nice to see something like this--what a cool duck, and cool people too! Wish all of you the best.
Peace.
