Please help! I have an aunt and uncle in Diamondhead that were unable to evacuate and we've heard nothing from that area. Any news would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for this blog, I have family in Biloxi and haven't been able to hear from them since 9:30 Monday morning, the news channels here in Wichita only focus on New Orleans and only mention Biloxi. Stay safe!

Man - I worked at Red Lobster for 2 years, and knew a lot of people who worked at Olive Garden, too. This is just so sad....
Dedeaux Rd is destroyed from what I hear. I'm just totally overwhelmed.

Seeing these pictures is very disheartening. My family lives off of Debuys Road, a little further north from the Olive Garden and Red Lobster. I grew up off of Debuys Road. I remember when those restaurants were built. The destruction of the coast is the worst thing that I have every seen in my 23 years on Earth. I am just blessed that my family and home did not sustain that much damage.

Does anyone know the status of Long Beach NORTH of Railroad Ave? My son is in Japan with the Seabees and has (had?) a house on Lawler Ave.and I'm trying to get him some updated info. Has anyone seen that area? Are the homes still standing? Thank you for any info.

I live in mandeville louisiana and my family evacuated from the storm saftley, but some people didn't. some primi babies were life-flighted down to the university hospital in birmingham, alabama.
We have friends in hoover (a little south of birmingham)so that is where we went to stay. They are saying that we might not be able to go back for another month.
Pray!

Go with God!
