Inside the Shops at Canal Place mall. The town was deserted except for National Guard, cops and utility workers. We walked into this mall, which held a few looted shops. It was silent and weird, except for this security guard playing Beethoven. A proper re-introduction to New Orleans, the party town of lost souls.

I'll miss the good memories of New Orleans...My husband and I stayed not far from Bourbon Street and at 2 a.m. we heard a lonely sounding sax player off in the distance and nothing else (it was the off season)so we got up and decided to take an adventure and find the source of the beautiful jazzy soulful sound, we walked for blocks and blocks not seeing anybody else. We found him in the middle of a street all alone. We sat and listened to him until the sun came up. What a great memory!Only in New Orleans!!!
